G’day mates! It’s ya boy from the down under, back again to talk about one of the most popular games out there – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive aka CS:GO. If you’re a gamer, you know how important it is to have a good FPS (frames per second) while playing CS:GO. It can seriously make or break your gameplay. Fear not my dawgs, I’m here to give you the lowdown on how to boost your CS:GO FPS in 2016 (yeah, I know it’s 2022 now, but bear with me, these tips still work!)

First things first, let’s talk about the subkeywords. CS:GO FPS boost config, CS:GO FPS boost command, CS:GO FPS boost launch options, CS:GO FPS boost cfg, CS:GO FPS booster, CS:GO FPS boost commands 2022, and CS:GO FPS boost set launch options. *whew* That’s a lot, but don’t stress out, we’ll be going over all of them one by one.

First up, let’s talk about the config. If you’re not familiar with a config, it’s basically a file that contains various settings for your CS:GO game. You can either make changes to an existing config or create a new one. To access the config, go to your Steam library, right-click on CS:GO, select properties, click on the Set launch options button, and in the text field add the following: -console -novid -high -threads X -tickrate 128 +cl_interp_ratio 1 +cl_interp 0 +rate 128000. Replace the X with the number of threads your CPU has (you can find this info online or by checking your CPU’s documentation).

Next up, the command. This one is even easier. Simply open up the console in-game by pressing the ~ key and type in the command: fps_max 0. This will remove the FPS cap that’s enabled by default in CS:GO.

Now, let’s talk about launch options. Again, we’ll be adding some launch options to the game to improve our FPS. Go to the Set launch options screen (like we did for the config), and add the following: -novid -nojoy -high -threads X -tickrate 128. You already know what X stands for, right?

Moving on to the cfg file. This is similar to the config file, but it’s located in a different folder. To access it, go to C:Program Files (x86)Steamuserdata730localcfg and open up the file called config.cfg. You can either make changes to this file directly or create a new one. Here’s what you can add: fps_max 0, cl_cmdrate 128, cl_updaterate 128, rate 128000, cl_interp_ratio 1, and cl_interp 0.

Next, the FPS booster. This is a software that you can download and install to improve your FPS. There are several FPS boosters out there, but be careful when downloading them. Make sure you download from a trusted source.

Coming to the commands, these are some console commands that you can use to boost your FPS. Here they are: cl_disablehtmlmotd 1, cl_forcepreload 1, r_dynamic 0, r_drawtracers_firstperson 0, r_eyegloss 0, r_eyemove 0, r_eyeshift_x 0, r_eyeshift_y 0, r_eyeshift_z 0, r_eyesize 0, r_shadowmaxrendered 0, and r_shadows 0.

Finally, the launch options. We already covered this, but let’s add one more: -nod3d9ex. This disables the Direct3D 9ex API which can cause stuttering on some systems.

That’s it, mates. These are some of the best ways to boost your CS:GO FPS in 2016 (I mean, 2022). Give them a try and let me know if they work for you. Remember to keep the game updated, lower your graphics settings, and close any unnecessary programs running in the background. Happy gaming!
